TVXQ named Goodwill Ambassador by USJ!
From country to country, TVXQ not only conquered music charts but is beginning to (somewhat) climb the political one as well. (Remember when they were chosen as the President of the Republic of Korean Music?)
TVXQ, who debuted in Korea in 2004, Japan in 2005 and went on to debut in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Thailand, has been named Goodwill Ambassador for Asia by Universal Studios Japan (USJ).
The appointment ceremony will take place on March 28 at the Universal Studios Japan located near Osaka. Once appointed, TVXQ will travel around Asia for a year to promote the attractions of USJ.
USJ representatives said “We would like to provide for English-speaking Japanese and give international attention to the ambassadors. 70% of the visitors to the theme park are women and they are expected to attract even more attention from all over Asia”
Next thing you know, they’ll be nominated for President! But hey…who’s complaining? Definitely not me!
DBSK Will Make Comeback This September!
Voted as 2008’s most anticipated group, DBSK will be making a comeback with their 4th Korean album this September!
Successfully entering the Japanese market, after a year of extreme hard work to top the Oricon charts, the boys will finally return home to Korea.
A rep at SM stated the following,
“TVXQ will release an album in September and since they haven’t had any activities in Korea for a very long time, they will attend the end of the year ceremonies and as well as perform for the Korean fans”
Aside from this good news, the boys will also be releasing the third volume of History in Japan, which documents another year of their life in Japan. Also, the boys will be on SBS’s variety shows, Line Up (23rd), Miraculous Victory & Defeat (24th), 8 vs. 1, and KBS’ Happy Together (26th). In addition, the boys will be performing on SBS’ Inkigayo and KBS Music Bank!!
DBSK Hits World Chart!
Korean boy band, TVXQ has done it again!
From the Guinness World Record, to Peru, to the United World Chart! Taking the 19th spot this week on the top 40 albums, their third Japanese studio album, “T”, has beaten Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Linkin Park, Chris Brown, and many more.
The United World Chart is a worldwide chart issued every week by Media Traffic, using both sales (digital and physical) and airplay to determine the most popular albums and singles worldwide. The United World Chart uses the same system as the Billboard Hot 100, in which the tracking-week for sales begins on Monday and ends on Sunday; meanwhile the airplay tracking-week runs from Wednesday to Tuesday. The newest weekly chart is therefore issued every Thursday.
These days it’s all about this group of boys…this is truly the era of TVXQ!
